sometimes they get it right

We have a new cinema, and a new sports complex. Because of the credit crunch, and some political shenanigans too tedious to mention, they look as if they have been dropped onto a bomb-site, and then you wade through the rubble to a really cool new bridge that lines up so you can see down to Cambuskenneth Abbey, where the first Scottish parliament was planned.

But leading into this urban dereliction is a winding path alongside the river, and because of the credit crunch etc., etc., it hasn't been landscaped. And this is the result.

I hope they never landscape it!

I'll be at the Atlantic Islands Festival for the next week. There should be a lot to write about when I get back!

I agree with you that they should leave it to nature to landscape. unfortunately it was left alone not through design but poor financial liquidity, therefore by accident rather than design.I like the photos but just Love the top photo. Dave
